Only two weeks after the historic victory of Dirk Müller, Joey Hand and Sebastian Bourdais in the 24-Hours of Le Mans, the Team of Ford Chip Ganassi Racing celebrated the first double success of the new Ford GT in the fifth round of the US Sportscar Series in Watkins Glen.

At the 6-hour of the “Glen” the two Ford GT celebrated after six exciting and thrilling racing hours a double victory. This time it was Dirk Müller’s team mate Richard Westbrook and Ryan Briscoe in the  #67 Ford GT that received the top spot on the podium of the GTLM class. Dirk Müller and his team mate Joey Hand were able to drive up to the second place from the fourth starting position, in more than exciting race and a stunning final quarter of an hour.

“First of all I would like to congratulate our team mates Richard Westbrook and Ryan Briscoe on their victory. This is the first double success of the new Ford GT in America and so very special! I enjoyed every single second in our car,” Dirk Müller said.” The car was so fantastic and great to drive. Our guys from Ford Chip Ganassi Racing have again done a fantastic job and gave us a really, really fast and great car. This success is again a success of the entire team, thank you to everyone.”
