Dear friends, we had 3 fantastic and successful test days in Daytona at the official Roar before the 24 hours of Daytona, the first race of the IWSC 2016. My new team Ford Chip Ganassi Racing and the drivers were totally happy with the two new Ford GTs.
From the beginning both new cars were running well and we were able to collect a lot of data, which is really important in order to get the cars more and more perfect. At the same time we are still learning a lot, but having the guys and their experience from Ford Chip Ganassi Racing around us it is convincing me deeply. The learning curve is steep and having a 24 hour race followed by a 12 hour race of Sebring (15th-16th March) makes it very challenging.
Sebastian Bourdais is joining Joey Hand and me for the enduros in our Ford GT #66. “ I am really excited and I can’t wait to fly out to the first race of 2016, says the Swiss living Dirk Müller. We all are highly motivated and with all the success in the bag from the entire team we are aiming high.” (www.byjogi.de)
